Tim Jennings
Tim Jennings has endeared himself to the Southside congregation through the years. He first appeared on our program in 2009 and has been a frequent participant and guest, along with his beloved son Parker, during lecture week.
Brother Jennings grew up in Las Cruces, New Mexico. His education includes work at Florida College (1985-87), New Mexico State University (1987-90) and a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Texas Tech University. He and his wife, the former Jennifer Lynn, have three children: Parker (26), Kayla (22), and Jack (17).
Tim’s preaching career began in a training program with his father-in-law, Ira Lynn, at the 62nd and Indiana congregation in Lubbock, Texas. He has worked with churches in New Mexico, Alabama, and more recently in the North Dallas area for 23 years. Since 2020, Tim has labored with the Castleberry church in Fort Worth. In addition to his preaching, he served as one of the editors of Focus Magazine for many years.
We welcome Tim Jennings back to the 45th edition of The Southside Lectures. He is a careful student as well as an effective communicator of the word of God. You will benefit from his sermons on “Living the Gospel.” He says about this series, “the Gospel is more than a story we know; it is a life we live…a life of following Jesus.”
