September 20th Announcement of New Southside Schedule of Services

Our goal is a return to the normal full schedule of services and classes with the full congregation in attendance.  The Elders recognize the necessity to balance the health and safety of the congregation in the time of Covid Pandemic with the goal of unified services and classes. So, the Elders devised the following graduated schedule:

In October, the midweek Bible study service will restart. All members are encouraged to attend the Wednesday service.
    October 7    1st Wednesday service with all in auditorium
    October 14  Regular service with classes for all ages
    October 21  Regular service with classes for all ages
    October 28  Regular service with classes for all ages

There will be only one adult class that will meet in the auditorium.  We will continue to have two services on Sunday morning in October.

November 1, the full schedule of services and classes will commence.  For the balance of 2020 There will be only one adult class that will meet in the auditorium on Sunday morning and Wednesday night.  All services will be live-streamed for our members who are not able to assemble.

In the interest of safeguards for the health and safety of all members, the following guidelines will apply to all services for the balance of 2020:
 
   1)      The elders continue to strongly recommend that attendees over the age of 10 wear a mask while in the building attending services and classes. We recognize that some members will choose not to wear a mask.

   2)      At all times, in all services and classes in the auditorium attendees who choose to wear a mask will sit in the two sections of pews on the right side of the auditorium. Attendees who choose not to wear a mask will sit in the two sections of pews on the left side of the auditorium. Right and left side of the auditorium is oriented according to the view when entering from the classroom wing of the building.

   3)      Exit from the building after services will be by pew as directed by the deacons. Members will exit the building and not congregate in the foyer after services.

The proposed schedule is subject to change in response to circumstances surrounding the Covid Pandemic.
