Ralph Walker
Ralph R. Walker, Jr. was born in Norfolk, Virginia in 1954. He and his wife, Paula, have three daughters: Carrie Ann Moseley, Amanda Olson, and Bonny Cable. The Walkers have been blessed with nine grandchildren, all worshiping with them at Henderson Boulevard in Tampa.
Raised by godly parents in South Tampa, Ralph finished schooling at Florida College and preached for 19 years in Kentucky, Mississippi, and North Carolina. He then moved back to Florida to be the Public Relations and Alumni Director for Florida College for 19 years. He has ministered with the Henderson Boulevard church in Tampa for over 30 years and also serves as one of her shepherds. Along with his friend and fellow preacher, Mark Broyles, he has conducted several marriage retreats around the country.
Brother Walker’s love for storytelling peaks with the greatest story ever told – the love of God which sent Jesus to save our souls. He calls his series this week “Faces at the Cross.” He writes, “Jesus’ death and resurrection changed everything about the world before, during and after that event. His dying transformed everyone involved in that terrible scene. Here are some people whose lives would never be the same because He rose again.”
Ralph Walker is a devoted follower of Jesus. His appealing style that challenges both the mind and heart make him a welcome addition to this year’s Southside Lectures.
