Gary Henry

Gary Henry

Gary Henry is a talented, uniquely qualified preacher of the gospel.  He is not only a highly skilled public proclaimer of Scripture, he is a prolific writer of useful and motivational biblical information.  Brother Henry is the author of a series of helpful books called WordPoints Daybook Series, including such attractive and useful titles as Seeking God (2003), Reaching Forward (2009), Enthusiastic Ideas (2012), and More Enthusiastic Ideas (2016).  His books are widely read by our brethren. His material is always presented with love and concern both for brethren and those who have not yet obeyed the gospel.

Gary Henry was born in Hope, Arkansas on January 31, 1950.  He has two sons: Brock (and wife Brittany) of Louisville, Kentucky and Grant, who lives in Indianapolis, Indiana. Brother Henry attended Florida College, receiving his certificate in Upper Division Bible in 1972.  He also has a BA degree in Religious Studies (1976) and an MA in Humanities (1979) from Western Kentucky.

He began preaching in 1972 and since that time has been associated with congregations in Mississippi, Kentucky, Indiana, Texas, and Tennessee.  He has been widely used in gospel meetings for several years and spends his time presently in writing and appointment preaching.  The Southside congregation is pleased to have fellowship with him in supporting this good work.

We welcome Gary Henry to the 38th edition of The Southside Lectures.
