Making Marriage Work
Making Marriage Work is an intensive look at practical, biblical principles regarding not just a happy marriage, but a godly one. Since God designed marriage and fitted men and women for the institution, He ought to know best the keys to a fulfilling marriage relationship. Beginning Monday, March 29 at 7:30 PM we will conduct a study of Gods principles for a marriage that worksthat works for man, that works for woman, that works for man and woman together toward God.
The Making Marriage Work series will be taught by Dee Bowman (with Jason Moore and Bubba Garner assisting) and will involve 5 Monday night classes over the course of 7 weeks. Each class will be an hour and a half long. Some ladies will be teaching a Bible class for small children of parents who are attending these Monday evening sessions.
Here, briefly is the schedule of classes (the class on Culture has been changed from May 10 on the earlier announcements to May 3):

A text entitled Communication: Key to Your Marriage by H. Norman Wright and a journal for Home Work will be furnished each couple. Couples will be responsible for the $9.00 purchase price of the book. Audio tapes of every session will be made available to all class participants.
Couples will have about 15 minutes of home work to perform together every day for the class. This will involve the reading and discussion of 2 to 3 pages from their text and a daily Home Work journal that they will keep together. Its imperative for the success of the class that the Home Work be diligently completed. The key to better marriages are better habits. The key to better habits is a daily discipline. The Home Work is intended to impose such discipline, to build better habits, and so build better marriages.
