Jordan Lee Shouse was born in Indianapolis, Indiana in 1987 to Roger and Debbie Shouse. After graduating from high school, he studied at Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, Kentucky and Indiana University SE in New Albany, Indiana. He has been married to the former Holly Riggs for 12 years. They have three beautiful children who are with us this week: Benjamin, Noah, and Emma.
Brother Shouse began preaching while attending school in southern Indiana. He started in a preacher-training program with his father at the Charlestown Road church in New Albany. After the program, he worked with the Smedley congregation in Salem, Indiana for two years and then moved to Chattanooga, Tennessee to work with the North Hixson church for 5 years. Since 2016, he has labored with the brethren at Campbell Road in Garland, Texas.
Earlier this year, Jordan’s participation was in doubt due to a serious medical diagnosis. The Southside church joined with brethren across the country in prayer on his behalf. We thank our great God for answering these petitions for his healing!
Jordan Shouse has a very appealing style in the pulpit. His sermons are persuasive because they are rooted in the Scriptures. And he communicates them with heart-felt compassion and concern for the people in the pew. You will enjoy hearing him, for the first time, during the 43rd edition of The Southside Lectures.
