Tim Stevens

Tim Stevens

Tim Stevens has been a vital part of our lecture program since 2012.  His leading of the congregational singing each year is inspiring and edifying.  While the speakers minister to us in the word, Tim ministers to us in song.

Timothy Paul Stevens was born to R.J. and Pauline Stevens on December 17, 1951 in Houston, Texas. He married Vicki Lee Mullins in 1976. They have three daughters (Rebecca Helvey, Kayleen Dennis, and Penny Simpson), four grandsons, and four granddaughters.

Tim studied music at Florida College and San Bernardino Valley College.  After working in the railroad industry for 17 years, he began preaching the gospel for the Rio Grande Valley church in Belen, New Mexico in 1990.  He served as the local preacher in Kemp, Texas from 1997-2014.  He and Vicki now reside in Lindale, Texas.

Brother Stevens travels extensively to preach gospel meetings and conduct song worship training series for congregations across the country. The Southside church is pleased to assist him with financial support in this worthy endeavor.  This congregation has also been fervent in prayer since learning of the return of Vicki’s cancer.  Through all of her tests, procedures, treatments, and setbacks, Tim has been a faithful and devoted husband.  He is a true example of the gospel message.

Welcome back, Tim Stevens, to the 42nd edition of the Southside Lectures.
