Roger Shouse is a communicator in every sense of that word. He has a unique style and is easy to hear. His love for people generates a measured enthusiasm in his work. His passion for Restoration History has instilled in him a plea to return to the fundamentals of faith. As a result, he is in constant demand for gospel meetings around the country.
Brother Shouse has been preaching the gospel of Christ for over 40 years. In those years he has worked with congregations in Benton, Illinois (1980-1982); Indianapolis, Indiana (1982-1997); and Kansas City, Missouri (1997-2008). For the past fourteen years, he has labored with the brethren at the Charlestown Road church in New Albany, Indiana. His daily blog, Jump Starts, is in its second decade and is read by nearly 3,000 people worldwide. He also participates in a weekly podcast, Heaven Bound.
Roger and his wife Debbie have been blessed with four children and ten grandchildren. His favorite preacher just happens to be a Texan, his son Jordan who preaches for the Campbell Road congregation in Garland.
Roger Shouse has endeared himself to the people at Southside. He is a good example of what he preaches, and we are pleased to have him back on this year’s program. He will motivate us to reach our goal of “Living for Jesus.”
