David Thomley lives in Franklin, Tennessee (the Nashville area) and is presently serving as an elder and evangelist with the Rolling Hills church in Spring Hill, Tennessee. Born in Dothan, Alabama, David grew up in the Appletree Street church and the Honeysuckle Road church where his father served as an elder. He studied Bible at Florida College and studied the Italian language at Western Kentucky University.
In addition to his work in the United States, David has been active in the work in Italy for the past forty years. In the last decade, much of his work has been focused on The Grado Studies. These studies are specifically designed to train young men in Italy to teach and preach the gospel with the goal of helping the Italian brethren to become completely independent and autonomous.
David and his wife, Jeannie (Huggins), have two children. Their daughter, Kristy, is married to Michael Cawthon. The Cawthons were part of the Southside church for three years (2008-2011) while Michael was participating in the young preacher program. The Thomleys’ son, Ryan, is married to the former Jacquelyn MacDonald. Ryan’s family lives in Tennessee and worships with the Rolling Hills church where David is preaching.
We are pleased to welcome David and his Scriptural and powerful preaching back to the 41st edition of The Southside Lectures.
