We are very pleased to have Paul Earnhart on the Southside Lectures again this year. He has been a popular participant in his past appearances on the program.
Brother Earnhart grew up in Hughes County, Oklahoma, near McAlester. He attended Abilene Christian College, where he received his B.A. degree in 1953. He later attended St. Thomas University where he was awarded a Master’s Degree in 1971. Wilma Earnhart is Paul’s wonderful wife. They have three children: Eric, Kim (Latham), and Beth (Ray).
Paul’s preaching took him to Nigeria, West Africa from 1962 to 1965. He has served local congregations in Kenosha, Wisconsin; Waukegan and Zion, Illinois; St. Paul, Minnesota; Mt. Sterling, Kentucky and Joplin, Missouri. For the past 37 years he has been associated with the Douglass Hills church in Louisville, Kentucky where he presently serves as one of the elders.
Paul is not only a highly regarded and widely used gospel preacher, he is a splendid writer. He served as an Editor of Christianity Magazine for the life of the publication and is the author of three popular books: Invitation to a Spiritual Revolution: Studies in the Sermon on the Mount, Glimpses of Eternity: Studies in the Parables of Jesus, and Searching for the Meaning of Life: Studies in the Book of Ecclesiastes.
His work as a preacher, writer, and encourager of younger preachers has earned for him a wide and well-deserved reputation. Welcome back, Paul!
